Stormveil Castle is a formidable stronghold situated on the rocky cliffs of Stormhill in Elden Ring. It is renowned as a legacy dungeon, which is home to the infamous Godrick the Grafted and his armies of soldiers and hostile creatures. Adventurers who dare to enter the castle's walls should be prepared to face a significant challenge, as they encounter numerous enemies, traps, and mini-bosses.
The dungeon's perils start right from the castle's entrance, which is fiercely guarded by Godrick's soldiers. These enemies are skilled in both close combat and ranged attacks, and they will not hesitate to use their skills to stop any intruders. As players make their way further into the castle, they will encounter more groups of enemies, each with its own unique strengths and weaknesses.

Navigating the castle's narrow corridors and winding staircases is no easy feat, as players must avoid deadly traps and dodge arrows shot by ballistas stationed throughout the castle. Mini-bosses guard various parts of the castle and players will need to strategize and use their skills wisely to defeat them.
One unique feature of Stormveil Castle is that riding is not allowed within its walls. This means that players must rely solely on their own abilities to traverse the dungeon, making the journey even more challenging. It also adds a level of realism and immersion, as players must navigate the castle's various obstacles on foot.
Stormveil Castle Walkthrough
Starting from the Stormveil Main Gate, you can get a Furlcalling Finger Remedy by going right down the staircase and looting the body. As you go back up the stairs, take a peek over the edge to spot a wooden bridge along the wall. Drop down and follow this path to the end to find a Fire Grease x2. Drop down again into the grassy area and exit the castle through the hole in the wall on your left.
Once outside, return to the Site of Grace and go through the door on the left. Speak to the NPC who calls out to you from the corner, and they will explain that you have two ways to approach the keep: through the heavily fortified main gate or through a hidden opening in the side. Although it may be possible to run through the front gate gauntlet, taking the side path is recommended for maximum loot acquisition.
Following the NPC's advice, exit through the opening on the left side of the room and grab the Golden Rune [1] on the cliff's edge. Turn around and use the rocks to jump up onto the hole in the castle wall where you can find a Ruin Fragment x3. Use the path along the wall to reach the cliff on the other side where you will find a wall with a hole smashed in it. Climb up the debris on your right to reach a cliff above you where you can find a Smithing Stone [2]. Carefully drop down to the grassy area below where you will be attacked by a storm hawk. Once you kill it, walk forward to the cliff's edge but instead of dropping down, go right to find a small path that leads up to a crumbling watchtower. You will meet the NPC from before here, and he will give you a Grace Mimic.
From the watchtower, look down to see a Site of Grace below. Drop down and rest if you need, but before progressing, there are a few more items to grab. Go left from the Site of Grace, following the cliff's edge down to a clearing where you will see three Stormhawks. Approach them carefully, or you may be overwhelmed. Once defeated, claim the Smithing Stone [3] they were guarding. Continue following the path down to encounter two more Stormhawks. Past them is a dead-end where you can find Bolts x 10.
Finally, return to the Site of Grace and prepare for the next zone.
