Stree Ending Explained
Towards the end of the movie, it is revealed that the mysterious woman whom Vicky has fallen in love with is actually the ghost of a woman named Stree. She was once a courtesan who was killed by the men of Chanderi, and now she seeks revenge by abducting and killing men. However, the reason she spared Vicky earlier in the movie is that she was moved by his genuine feelings of love and respect for her.
To save the town from Stree's wrath, Vicky, Bittu, and Rudra Bhaiya come up with a plan to trap her in a temple and perform a puja to free her from her ghostly existence. They manage to lure Stree into the temple, and as the puja begins, she starts to disintegrate. However, Vicky realizes that the woman he loves is also disappearing, along with Stree. He runs towards her, but Rudra Bhaiya stops him, explaining that she was never a human but a spirit who had been seeking revenge for years.
In the end Shraddha joins the ponytail with her hair and becomes Stree with all her powers restored. The town is safe, and Vicky decides to stay in Chanderi to make lehengas for the women of the town. The movie ends with a warning that men should not roam around alone during the holiday season, as Stree might still be out there seeking her revenge.
