One Piece
One Piece is a popular Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda, which has been serialized in the Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine since July 1997. The story follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy, a young boy who gains the properties of rubber after accidentally eating a Devil Fruit. Together with his pirate crew, the Straw Hat Pirates, Luffy explores the Grand Line in search of the legendary treasure known as the "One Piece," left behind by the deceased King of the Pirates Gol D. Roger, with the aim of becoming the next King of the Pirates.
The success of the manga led to the creation of a media franchise, including a festival film by Production I.G, and an anime series produced by Toei Animation, which began airing in 1999. Toei has also produced 14 animated feature films, 13 television specials, and one original video animation, and various companies have developed merchandising and media, such as trading card games and video games. Viz Media and Madman Entertainment have licensed the manga series for English-language release in North America, the United Kingdom, and Australia. The anime series was first licensed by 4Kids Entertainment for an English-language release in North America in 2004, but the license was later acquired by Funimation in 2007.

Red Hair Shanks
Red Hair Shanks, one of the Four Emperors of the New World, is known to be a terrifying pirate, despite his kind demeanor. His power doesn't come from a Devil Fruit but from his exceptional swordsmanship and mastery of all three types of Haki. Shanks is so powerful that Kaido considers him as formidable as the legendary Gol D. Roger and Whitebeard. Even Blackbeard, who possesses two powerful Devil Fruits, is cautious about fighting Shanks.
Dracule Mihawk
Dracule Mihawk is recognized as the "Best Swordsman in the World," a title that he has rightfully earned. Although Mihawk has not pushed himself to his limits, he was unscathed after the Battle of Navyford. One Piece Plot
The story of the series revolves around Monkey D. Luffy, a young man with a rubber body, who sets out on a journey to find the fabled One Piece treasure and become the Pirate King. Along the way, he recruits several members to join his crew, the Straw Hat Pirates, including a pirate hunter named Roronoa Zoro, a money-obsessed thief, and navigator named Nami, a sniper and compulsive liar named Usopp, and an amorous but chivalrous cook named Sanji. They acquire a ship named the Going Merry and engage in battles with notorious pirates. As they continue their journey, they are joined by other crew members, including a reindeer doctor named Tony Tony Chopper, an archaeologist and former assassin named Nico Robin, a cyborg shipwright named Franky, a skeleton musician and swordsman named Brook, and a fish-man helmsman named Jimbei. After their ship is destroyed, they acquire a new ship called the Thousand Sunny. Throughout their journey, they encounter various friends and foes, including other pirates, bounty hunters, criminal organizations, revolutionaries, secret agents, and soldiers of the corrupt World Government, as they sail the seas in pursuit of their dreams.

Eiichiro Oda, the creator of One Piece, has a unique approach when designing Devil Fruits - he considers what human desire the fruit can fulfill, and he ensures that the fruit's appearance entices people to eat it. The names of various techniques and concepts in the manga use puns by pairing kanji phrases with idiosyncratic readings. Some of Zoro's sword techniques have names that look intimidating but sound like food when read aloud, such as Onigiri, which means demon cut but is pronounced the same as rice ball in Japanese. However, these kanji readings are not always used in the anime adaptation as the creators believed it would reduce the humor. Oda is particular about the translation of his work and is conscious of how it is perceived in different languages.
