Survivors have gathered at the remnants of a stadium, forming a community, yet they must remain vigilant. In the first season's finale, Hyun-soo confronted Jung Ui-myeong, who had abilities similar to his own and was cast as the K-drama antagonist. A climactic battle ensued as the tenants had to escape the building for their survival, seemingly leading to Ui-myeong's demise. The government arrived at the end of the K-drama, taking the tenants into custody and surrounding Hyun-soo. However, Sweet Home left a cliffhanger by revealing that Ui-myeong had used his powers to assume the identity of Pyeon Sang-Wook and had taken control of the military vehicle carrying Hyun-soo. Fans of the original webtoon would note that the cliffhanger had a different resolution.
