Tales of Arise Gourmet Saga Soft and Fluffy Walkthrough

This guide will assist you in completing all objectives of the Gourmet Saga: Soft and Fluffy Side Quest, including the acquisition of the necessary ingredients (White, Soft and Fluffy Object Location, Neither Swine nor Hare Meat, Stimulating Powder, Rice).

  • Sub Quest: Gourmet Saga: Soft and Fluffy
  • Location: Ganath Haros > Pelegion > Level 2 Quest
  • Provider: Gourdeno
  • Prerequisite: Complete all three "Gourmet" Sub-Quests in previous regions – Gourmet Saga: Berry Scavenging (Cyslodia > Frozen Valley), Gourmet Saga: Palace Delicacy (Menancia > Viscint), Gourmet Saga: Prairie Scent (Mahag Saar > Aqfotle Hills)
  • Rewards: Mabo Curry Recipe, 5100 Gald, 150 SP
  • Mission Details: Gourdeno has returned to Pelegion, bringing with him a new recipe that presents a challenge with its requirement of two "white, soft and fluffy items." One is Rice, while the other is a local ingredient specific to Pelegion.

Here's a simplified walkthrough for the "Gourmet Saga: Soft and Fluffy" sub-quest in Tales of Arise:

To start the "Gourmet Saga: Soft and Fluffy" quest in Tales of Arise, you need to be in the Ganath Haros region, specifically in Pelegion at Level 2. Look for a collapsed man, the same one who gave you Gourmet quests before. To make him appear, you must have completed his previous three Gourmet Quests, namely "Gourmet Saga: Berry Scavenging" in Cyslodia's Frozen Valley, "Gourmet Saga: Palace Delicacy" in Menancia's Viscint, and "Gourmet Saga: Prairie Scent" in Mahag Saar's Aqfotle Hills.

The objectives of this sub-quest are as follows:

1. Collect 6x Rice: You can find Rice in Ganath Haros' Lavtu Marshlands, which is the area just before Pelegion. Look for the blue sparkles on the map, as they mark the locations of the Rice plants. There are six of them, so you'll find enough to meet your needs.

2. Gather 4x Stimulating Powder: The "Stimulating Powder" mentioned here actually refers to Pepper. In Ganath Haros' Lavtu Marshlands, you can locate Pepper Plants marked with blue sparkles on the map. You'll find four Pepper Plants in the area, which is sufficient for your requirements.

3. Obtain 2x Neither Swine nor Hare Meat: This peculiar-sounding meat is Rappig Meat. To get it, go to Menancia's Pharia Ranch. Speak to the farmer, raise the livestock, and then return after around 30 minutes when the Rappigs have fully grown. You can make them grow faster by using Miracle Feed, which costs 600 Gald. If you haven't unlocked Pharia Ranch yet, you need to talk to the collapsed man on the path to Viscint in Menancia's Traslida Highway to start a sub-quest that will unlock it.

4. Acquire 2x White, Soft, and Fluffy Objects: These objects are Tofu, and you can purchase two pieces of Tofu from a merchant in Ganath Haros' Pelegion at the Inn. This merchant is quite close to where the quest giver was.

After buying the Tofu, you should see a text notification on the right side confirming that you've found the required material, and it will be colored green in the quest log.

To complete the quest, return to the quest giver, and as a reward, you'll receive the Mabo Curry recipe. This wraps up the "Gourmet Saga: Soft and Fluffy" sub-quest in Tales of Arise, and it allows you to proceed to the final cooking sub-quest by speaking to the doctor in Calaglia's Mosgul.
