In "The Talos Principle 2," the Reconnection puzzle is a bit more challenging than the previous ones, like RGB Shifting. It involves using two RGB Converters together to solve it. If you've completed the first Grasslands Ring puzzle before attempting Reconnection, it can help you understand the basics.
The first step is to free the trapped RGB Converter behind an Energy Gate. You can do this by taking an available RGB Converter and choosing the green and blue Light Generators, which will turn the Converter red. Then, select the red Light Receiver with the red Converter, and the gate will open. Take the newly freed Converter and place it just outside the Energy Gate, roughly in line with the red light receiver.
Now, things get a bit tricky. You can't create the red light needed for the final Energy Gate with just one RGB Converter because it's hidden behind a long wall. What you need to do is turn the original Converter into a Light Generator. To do this, go back to the original RGB Converter, select the blue and red Light Generators to create green, and then select the recently freed RGB Converter. Finally, pick up the recently freed RGB Converter with the "Keep Connections" option and select the blue Light Generator. This will turn the RBG Converter red, allowing you to choose the second red Light Receiver. The gate will open, and you can complete the level.
