Passed around among unsympathetic family members, Chise eventually found herself auctioning herself off, hoping to find someone who would provide her with a home. Unexpectedly, a magus named Elias Ainsworth teleported her to another world and revealed that she would become his apprentice.
As the story progressed, it was revealed that Chise is a Sleigh Beggy, a mage who attracts various magical creatures. Throughout numerous encounters, Elias developed feelings for Chise. However, their journey took a dramatic turn when Cartaphilus abducted her in an attempt to break Elias's curse. In a desperate act to balance the dragon curse, Chise absorbed Cartaphilus's curse of immortality.
Elias made a solemn vow to be with her forever. Although the story seemed to reach a conclusion for the time being, the upcoming season will delve into the College Arc from the manga. This arc follows Chise as she enters a magical institution as a student. We can expect to witness her rise in the ranks of the academy as she harnesses the power of the dragon and immortal curses, and perhaps, experience further romantic developments.
