They have five seconds to submit their answer, and a correct response allows them to advance one space. However, an incorrect answer or failure to submit within the time limit results in no movement.
If the contestant successfully completes the board before the chaser, the money they earned is added to the bank, and they advance to the Final Chase. However, if the chaser reaches the end first, the contestant is eliminated, and their money is lost. In the event that all three players are defeated by the chaser, one contestant is chosen to face the Final Chase alone with a chance to win $60,000.
During the Final Chase, the remaining contestants collaborate to answer questions from one of two question sets they select. They have two minutes to accumulate as many correct answers as possible, but only the contestant who buzzes in can respond. The team receives a head start on the chaser, with one additional space for each participating contestant. Each correct answer allows them to move forward on the board.
Once the contestants have completed their questions, the chaser confronts a two-minute ticking clock, answering questions from the other set. If the chaser passes or answers incorrectly, the contestants have the opportunity to provide the correct answer, either pushing the chaser back or moving themselves forward (if the chaser is still at the starting spot).
If the chaser fails to catch the contestants before time runs out, the contestants divide the money in the bank amongst themselves. However, if the chaser catches them, each contestant earns $5,000.
