Kim Myung-Joon (Yoon Kye-Sang) is a financially struggling man with a compassionate heart. His dire need for money arises from his daughter's urgent need for a life-saving operation. Just when things seem desperate, his ex-wife reenters the picture with a shocking proposal: to kidnap 11-year-old Choi Ro-Hee, who hails from a wealthy family. Driven by desperation, Kim Myung-Joon reluctantly agrees to her plan.
In preparation for the kidnapping, Kim Myung-Joon positions himself near Choi Ro-Hee's residence. Tragically, an unforeseen accident occurs when he accidentally strikes someone with his car – that someone being none other than Choi Ro-Hee herself. The accident results in her losing her memory.
Taking responsibility for his unintentional actions, Kim Myung-Joon decides to bring Choi Ro-Hee to his home, where she begins to reside.
