The Last of Us Season 2 Development
The TV show The Last of Us was made by Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann. Druckmann also made the video game it's based on. HBO decided to make a second season of the show on January 27, 2023.
This was less than two weeks after the first season started. The first season is about the events of the game The Last of Us and its expansion, Left Behind. But the second season will be about the sequel, The Last of Us Part II.
Druckmann and Mazin didn't want to add extra stuff between the games. They think Part II can be made into many seasons, but they don't want the show to finish the game's story. While writing the first season, Mazin and Druckmann made sure the characters stayed the same as they were in Part II.
