The Mandalorian is a popular American space Western TV show created by Jon Favreau for Disney+. It's the first live-action Star Wars series, set five years after Return of the Jedi, and follows a bounty hunter named the Mandalorian who protects a Force-sensitive child called Grogu. The show also features Bo-Katan Kryze, played by Katee Sackhoff, in the third season. George Lucas began developing a live-action Star Wars series in 2009 but it was deemed too expensive to produce. Disney later started work on a new series for Disney+, with Favreau serving as writer and showrunner. What happened in The Mandalorian season 3 episode 2?
After a stop at Tatooine, during which Peli Motto assigns Mando a faulty droid, Din and Grogu arrive on Mandalore and quickly discover that the planet isn't as toxic as previously believed. However, this also means it's infested with enemies, such as the Alamites, a group of alien monsters, and a creepy alien who assaults Mando using a gigantic crab mech suit.
Grogu manages to escape and seeks help from Bo-Katan in nearby Kalevala. Sensing danger, Bo-Katan agrees to assist, and they arrive just in time to save Din's life. Bo-Katan kills the alien with the Darksaber, potentially making it hers, and then leads Mando to the ancient mines where he hopes to find redemption.
At the living waters, Bo-Katan reminisces about her upbringing as Mandalorian royalty while reading a plaque. Meanwhile, Mando steps into the "Living Waters" to cleanse himself but sinks to the bottom. Bo-Katan dives in to rescue him, and as they ascend, they witness the eye of a colossal aquatic creature, likely a Mythosaur, which was thought to be extinct.

The Mandalorian season 3 episode 3 release date-FAQs
Some of the returning cast members include Omid Abtahi as Dr. Pershing, Amy Sedaris as Peli Motto, Taika Waititi as the voice of IG-11, and Paul Sun-Hyung Lee as Carson Teva. There are also new cast members joining the show, such as Christopher Lloyd and Tim Meadows.
It's not yet known what role Dr. Pershing will play in season 3, but he can be spotted in the teaser trailer for the new season. In previous seasons, he was hired by the Imperial Remnants to experiment with Grogu's blood.
Vane is a Nikto pirate who remembers a different version of Nevarro. He is played by Marti Matulis, who has also appeared in Evil and American Horror Story.
