The Night Agent Ending Explained
In The Night Agent episode 10, Peter confronts Diane about the plan to kill Omar Zadar and the President of the United States. Diane reveals that she only covered up the incident and that Rose's aunt and uncle were killed after they met with Zadar, who they assumed told about the conspiracy. Peter realizes that Diane only used him because he was dispensable, as she publicly accuses him of kidnapping Maddie Redfield. Chelsea and Maddie arrive at Camp David, where officials separate them, and VP Redfield takes Maddie to a bunker, explaining why Zadar is being killed, but traps Maddie there.
Diane, Peter, and Rose arrive, and Diane informs the head of the Secret Service that there is a bomb on the property. Redfield's double agent kills the head of the Secret Service and shoots Diane. Chelsea downed one of the agents and located the bomb, allowing one agent to get the president out before the explosion. Chelsea also rescues Maddie before the bomb goes off.
Peter intercepts the group before the president is put on a plane and holds her hostage until a bomb is found. After the assassination plan is foiled, Peter is taken away by the police, but the president knows the truth. The president reveals that Peter's father was innocent and had only said he was selling the country's secrets to become a double agent for his country. The episode ends with Peter being offered a new assignment by the president, setting up a possible second season. The Night Agent is streaming on Netflix.

In The Night Agent, episode 10, Peter, Rose, and Farr are heading to Camp David, where Farr reveals that the Campbells met Zadar, and they assumed they told him about the real target. Farr admits that she picked Peter as The Night Agent because she could count on him, but he was just another fall guy option. Farr is good at creating red hearings, making it difficult to know what to believe. Farr tells Peter and Rose that she thinks the target will be killed with explosives, and this is where Maddie and Chelsea come into play. They meet two secret service agents carrying large briefcases on the helicopter to Camp David.When they arrive, Maddie heads to a protective bunker, and Chelsea is escorted by one of the agents with a large briefcase to a secure location. Meanwhile, Peter and Rose hide in the trunk while Farr uses her charisma to bluff her way into Camp David when not on the list and at gunpoint.
As soon as they arrive, Farr rushes to inform the head of the Secret Service that there is a bomb on the property. Before any action can be taken, Redfield's double agent kills the head of the Secret Service and shoots Farr. President Travers arrives at the property, and Chelsea manages to down one of the agents trying to stop her from getting to Maddie and locates the bomb. With this revelation, one agent can get the president out in time before the explosion. Chelsea also reaches Maddie just in time to get her out before the bomb explodes.

Hong Chau, the Oscar-nominated actress known for her work in “The Whale,” “The Menu,” and “Downsizing,” is a standout in Netflix’s new series “The Night Agent.” Chau’s casting in the role of the White House Chief of Staff is a testament to the show’s ambition, as it aims to bring together a talented cast to elevate its political thriller with schlock undertones. The show, created by Shawn Ryan of “The Shield” and based on a novel by Matthew Quirk, follows Gabriel Basso’s character, Peter Sutherland, an FBI employee whose job monitoring an emergency hotline suddenly becomes much more complicated when the hotline receives a call from a tech founder who has found herself embroiled in a dangerous situation.
Chau’s portrayal of the White House Chief of Staff is elegant and excellent, elevating the show as a whole. Basso and Luciane Buchanan, who plays Peter’s protectee, also have strong chemistry, and Eve Harlow and Phoenix Raei stand out as a pair of assassins whose relationship is driven by their love of murder.
