The Worst Bachelor Contestants
1) Arie Luyendyk Jr.
The Bachelor season 22 ended with Arie Luyendyk Jr. kneeling down on one knee to propose to Becca Kufrin as his better half. Becca was initially picked up by Arie Luyendyk as the winner and accepted his proposal at the end of the season. But Arie broke things off with Becca and went on to date Lauren Burnham, the runner-up of that season. Arie and Lauren are still together, according to Screenrant. Arie has soon become the ultimate "villain" of the franchise.
2) Juan Pablo Galavis
Juan Pablo was alleged to have mistreated women on The Bachelor, with all of his actions ending with Clare Crawley calling him out at the finale. Juan Pablo Galavis was a former soccer player from Venezuela. On the show, Juan Pablo picked up where he left off with Nikki Ferrell, but their relationship lasted much longer. Juan Pablo was a bad lead on The Bachelor. Producers thought that they were adding diversity to The Bachelor franchise by casting Juan Pablo Galavis.
3) Clayton Echard
Clayton Echard was just as unremarkable on his own season of The Bachelorette. He has Clayton Echard. In the past, producers always waited for viewers to respond to a few contestants on The Bachelorette before picking them up. The production made a decision to choose him as the lead of season 26 before Michelle Young's season of The Bachelorette premiered. Clayton dropped his final two women, Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia, as it is. Clayton caused havoc when he decided to send Susie Evans home in third place and then try to win her back before the show ended.
4) Peter Weber
Peter Weber's ex-girlfriend was brought onto the show to warn girls about his fame throughout the whole season. He picked up Hannah Ann Sluss, but they split up very soon after the season. Peter Weber was seen as messy both on-screen and off-screen. Peter later dated his season's runner-up, Madison Prewett, for a short time. Peter also showed interest in dating the fifth-placed player in his season, Kelley Flanagan, for a few months. Peter was considered to be one of the villainous characters.
5) Nick Viall
Nick Viall was a contestant on the 2014 season of The Bachelorette and ended up as the runner-up. Later, he came back in 2015 for Kaitlyn Bristowe's season and made it to the final two, but he was again not selected. In 2016, Nick Viall was cast in Bachelor in Paradise season 3, which was his third season in Bachelor Nation within three years. In 2017, Nick finally posted as the lead of The Bachelor season 21. Most of the audience was tired of watching Nick, who was unable to find love on TV, which made the show very boring.
6) Jason Mesnick
Jason Mesnick, himself earned the "villain" title from Bachelor Nation season 13 lead Jason Mesnick. He ended the season of the show with Melissa Rycroft as his winner but later chose to be with Molly Malaney instead. Jason and Molly are still together, as per the Screenrant. Their successful date did not remove the truth that Jason dumped Melissa on live TV and was discerned as a "fake nice guy" by most of the viewers. In an interview with the HuffPost, Jason said that the producers convinced him to do all that to frame sympathy for Melissa so that she could be the next Bachelorette.
7) Brad Womack
Brad Womack was loved by his fans, but he was unsuccessful in an epic way in making his work as The Bachelor. Initially, he appeared as the lead of The Bachelor season 11, in which he refused to select a single winner between the final two contestants, DeAnna Pappas and Jenni Croft. He walked out of his season as a single man. Brad was then named the lead of The Bachelor season 15. He got yet another chance to prove his point. In that season, he ended up getting engaged to Emily Maynard, but the couple didn't go very far; they got separated after the show.
8) Colton Underwood
Colton Underwood was famous on Becca Kufrin's season of The Bachelorette. He had the talent to lead his own season. After his season, Colton Underwood was alleged of stalking his then-girlfriend Cassie Randolph. This made the audience upset for a longer period of time. The latest news about him is that Colton has come out as a gay man, as per Screenrant. This implies that Colton certainly wasn't ready enough to find love on The Bachelor season 23 in any way.
Worst Season Of The Bachelor
Colton Underwood became the most-dumped Bachelor in the show's history, according to thelist.com. Many contestants have previously ended relationships with leads, but no Bachelor or Bachelorette has ever been dumped on their own season like Underwood. Three women Sydney Lotuaco, Elyse Dehlbom, and Heather Martin went out of the season of their own accord, as per the Vulture reports. Cassie ended up with the Bachelor on their fantasy suite date, disclosing that she was not firm about wanting to be engaged. But, after Colton's dramatic reactions, the two decided to continue their date offscreen.
