Tokyo Revengers Plot
Takemichi Hanagaki, a 26-year-old free living a directionless life, receives devastating news one day. His former girlfriend from middle school, Hinata Tachibana, and her brother Naoto have been tragically killed in a conflict involving the notorious Tokyo Manji Gang. Overwhelmed by grief and despair, Takemichi's life takes an unexpected turn when he is pushed onto the train tracks, transporting him precisely 12 years into the past, back to the year 2005.
In this strange twist of fate, Takemichi finds himself reliving his middle school years. Seizing this opportunity, he seeks out Naoto and reveals the exact date of their impending deaths. By shaking hands with Naoto, Takemichi is abruptly transported back to the present, creating a perplexing time paradox. Naoto survives and has become a dedicated detective.
Together, they uncover the mysterious mechanism that allows Takemichi to time leap with each hand-held encounter. Armed with knowledge from the future, Takemichi makes a solemn vow to himself—to save Hinata and rewrite the tragic events that led to her demise. As Takemichi navigates his way through the past, he discovers that his friends have become entangled in underground fights orchestrated by Kiyomasa, a member of the Tokyo Manji Gang.
Determined to protect his friends, Takemichi earns the respect of the gang's leader, Mikey. However, his perception of the gang's threat intensifies when one of his friends, Akkun, tragically commits suicide out of fear.
With his resolve deepening, Takemichi finds himself traveling back to the past once more. This time, he becomes embroiled in a brewing conflict between the Tokyo Manji Gang and their rival gang, Moebius. The gang declares war on Moebius, seeking vengeance for their fallen comrade, Pah-chin. Takemichi uncovers the harrowing truth that Draken, Mikey's trusted right-hand man, will eventually meet a fatal end, pushing Mikey toward a path of violence.
While Draken miraculously survives the chaotic brawl, Pah-chin willingly surrenders himself to the authorities after stabbing the leader of Moebius, Osanai. The Tokyo Manji Gang is thrown into disarray as its members grapple with conflicting views on how to help Pah-chin. In a race against time, Takemichi resolves to mend the friendship between Mikey and Draken.
However, their newfound unity is tested when the Tokyo Manji Gang is unexpectedly attacked on August 3, 2005, by a group of Moebius members led by Shūji Hanma, a formidable member of Valhalla. Takemichi learns that Peh-yan, another Tokyo Manji Gang member, colluded with their rivals out of resentment towards Mikey and Draken for allowing Pah-chin's arrest.
Meanwhile, Kiyomasa, seeking revenge for his previous humiliation, stabs Draken, resulting in his banishment from the Tokyo Manji Gang. Despite the odds stacked against them, the Tokyo Manji Gang emerges victorious from the intense clash. Takemichi confronts Kiyomasa, ultimately defeating him, while Draken recovers from his severe injuries.
With each twist and turn in his time-traveling journey, Takemichi's determination to save his loved ones grows stronger. As he continues to rewrite the past, the future remains uncertain, but his unwavering resolve carries him forward in his mission to alter destiny and protect that dear one.
