Touhou LostWord is a mobile game based on the popular Touhou franchise. Developed in 2020 by NextNinja and published by Good Smile Company, the game is an officially licensed Touhou fangame approved by Team Shanghai Alice, the publisher of the official Touhou games.
In Touhou LostWord, players engage in role-playing gameplay. They create a party consisting of six characters who will join them on their journey. The objective is to defeat waves of enemies in turn-based battles, which take place within different stages. Tier 1: Strong Start
Youmu Konpaku - Youmu Konpaku, the ghost girl gardener hailing from the netherworld, stands out as the overwhelmingly dominant unit in the Tutorial Roll. Her attacks pack a significantly greater punch compared to others, and she possesses an incredibly potent Area-of-Effect (AoE) Last Word ability, making her immensely valuable for both farming and challenging content. As a result, she is highly recommended and holds great importance throughout all stages of the game.
Tier 2: Lackluster, but Usable
Reisen Udongein Inaba - While Reisen Udongein Inaba primarily excels in solo farming the initial boss encounter, other characters, such as Youmu, can also achieve this feat with sufficient strength. Beyond that, Reisen's damage output is relatively low, and she lacks notable abilities in terms of group attacks. Nevertheless, she does offer valuable Accuracy utility and the advantage of accessing the Moon element.
Sakuya Izayoi - Sakuya Izayoi falls short as a unit due to several drawbacks. Her damage output is subpar, her elemental capabilities are limited, and she offers no beneficial utilities to the team, functioning solely as a self-centered damage dealer. While she possesses impressive speed, this particular trait holds minimal usefulness within the LastWord context.
Cirno - Cirno's primary highlight revolves around her ability to establish two Freeze Barriers on all adversaries, subsequently shattering them with her Last Word. However, there is a slight element of unpredictability as occasionally only one Barrier is generated, making her unreliable for consistent boss farming. Consequently, she is better suited for challenging content designed for singular encounters rather than repetitive farming scenarios.
Tier 3: Already obtained for free
Sanae Kochiya, Marisa Kirisame, Reimu Hakurei - All of these units, namely Reimu Hakurei, Marisa Kirisame, and Sanae Kochiya, are already available as free rewards. Reimu Hakurei and Marisa Kirisame are obtained through pre-registration, while Sanae Kochiya is given out after seven days. Although obtaining an additional copy early on allows for quicker maximum limit breaking, this advantage holds little long-term usefulness. Therefore, even if you have a preference for these three characters, it is advisable to reroll for one of the other options.
