Tracking the Past Avatar Frontiers of Pandora

In the game "Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora," there's a side quest called "Tracking the Past." Here’s a detailed guide on how to complete it:

  1. Starting the Quest:

You’ll meet a Hunter in The Commons within The Hollows. This area is at the southwest bottom part of the camp. To access this quest, complete the main mission called Revelations.

  1. Locating Clues:

    • Head to the eastern side of Stone Cloud Valley, specifically the Great Stone Swamp.
    • Go south to the bottom part of the swamp, just south of the Healing Lodge Na'vi camp but west of Dreaming Hermitage Na'vi camp.
    • Investigate and find four clues:

      • Destroyed Amp Suit: Located in the east.
      • Kame'tire Arrows: Found up north.
      • Messy Wildlife Footprints: Located in the southeast.
      • Bullet Spray: Found in the southwest.
  2. Matching Clues:

    • Pair the clues together:

      • Connect the destroyed Amp Suit with the Kame'tire Arrows.
      • Link the messy wildlife footprints with the bullet spray.
    • This pairing will reveal an Amp Suit Oil scent trail that leads south.
  3. Meeting Sa’ney:

Follow the trail to the south, where you’ll discover a broken Amp Suit and meet Sa’ney, a Kame’tire Hunter perched on a fungus. Speak to her; she’ll mention an RDA Patrol hunting in the north.

  1. Finding the RDA Patrol:

    • Head northeast from Sa’ney’s location, back towards the north of the Great Stone Swamp.
  2. Dealing with the RDA Patrol:

    • As you approach, an RDA Scorpion will drop four officers in AMP Suits into the area.
    • Two officers will have standard AMP Suits, while the other two will have different weapons—one with flamethrowers and the other with explosives.
    • Use Na'vi senses to identify weak spots. Target the backs of the standard AMP suits and hit the golden areas to make them explode. For the ones with flamethrowers, aim at the canisters on their arms to defeat them.
  3. Returning to Sa’ney:

Once you've dealt with the RDA Patrol, head back to Sa'ney in the south. This will wrap up the quest.

Avatar Frontiers of Pandora Development

In March 2017, Massive Entertainment made a big reveal: they were working on a game inspired by James Cameron's Avatar. They announced this as their next major project, setting the stage for something exciting. Fast forward to E3 2021, where they dropped a trailer for the game, officially named Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.

This game isn't just a retelling of the movie story; it's got its own tale to tell within the vast Avatar universe. They've sprinkled in bits that might connect to the upcoming Avatar 3 movie, suggesting that what happens in the game might have a say in what goes down in the movies yet to come. It's like they're weaving this game into the fabric of the entire Avatar series, keeping us on the edge of our seats for both the game and the future films!
