Train Sim World 4, set to be released in September 2023, marks the fourth installment in the Train Sim World franchise. This upcoming edition promises an array of exciting features and improvements that are sure to enhance the gaming experience for railway enthusiasts and gamers alike.
Routes and Locomotives:
The game will feature a selection of diverse routes, each offering its own unique experience. These include the Antelope Valley Line, a 75-mile route spanning from Los Angeles to Lancaster in California, USA. On this route, players will operate the EMD F125 diesel locomotive under the banner of Metrolink.
Additionally, there's the East Coast Main Line, an 80-mile stretch from Peterborough to Doncaster in the United Kingdom. Here, players will have the opportunity to handle the BR Class 801 Diesel and Electric Multiple Unit, operated by LNER, as well as the BR Class 66 operated by EWS.
Lastly, the S-Bahn Vorarlberg presents a 67 km route connecting Lindau and Bludenz in Germany and Austria. On this route, players will operate the ÖBB 4024 Talent 1 Electric Multiple Unit under ÖBB, and the DB BR 185 Railion. Notably, this marks the first route in Austria.
New Features:
The game introduces an array of innovative creative tools, such as the Scenario Planner 2.0, which features a reworked, user-friendly interface, custom start times, and portal support for AI trains, among other improvements. The Livery Designer 2.0 also receives an overhaul, with a revamped UI, livery description capabilities, undo/redo functions, and more.
Photo Mode allows players to pause the game to capture the perfect screenshot while offering adjustable camera settings, filters, and enhancements. Creators Club Improvements offer a streamlined user interface, improved content ownership filtering, and enhanced search functionality.
