Valorant Gameplay

Valorant is a team-based first-person tactical hero shooter set shortly. Players take on the role of Agents, characters inspired by various countries and cultures worldwide. In the main game mode, teams are assigned as attackers or defenders, each consisting of five players. Agents possess unique abilities and an ultimate ability that charges through various means. Players start each round with pistol and signature ability charges, with additional weapons and charges available for purchase using an in-game economic system.

The game offers a variety of weapons including sidearms, submachine guns, shotguns, assault rifles, and sniper rifles, each with distinct shooting patterns. Currently, there are 23 agents to choose from, with additional agents unlocked through in-game currency called Kingdom Credits or Valorant Points within the first 28 days of release. In the standard non-ranked mode, known as Unrated, matches are played as a best-of-25, with teams competing to win 13 rounds.

The attacking team aims to deliver and activate a bomb-type device called the Spike at designated bomb sites, while the defending team attempts to deactivate the Spike or prevent its activation. Sudden death occurs if both teams win 12 rounds. Spike Rush mode is a best-of-7 round format where players start with fully charged abilities, and only one spike can be activated per round. Guns are randomized, and players compete to win 4 rounds. Swiftplay is a shortened version of Unrated mode, played as a best-of-9, with teams switching sides after round 4. Competitive matches feature a win-based ranking system and require players to reach level 20 before playing.

Players can vote to end the game in a draw after each set of two rounds during overtime. Premier mode is a path-to-pro competitive game mode for aspiring professional players, where teams compete in divisions and seasons.Deathmatch mode is a free-for-all match where players aim to reach 40 kills within 9 minutes, with health packs dropping on kills. Team Deathmatch combines elements of Unrated and Deathmatch modes, with two teams competing to reach 100 kills within 9 minutes.

The game introduces a pick-and-ban system for maps. Escalation mode is team-based and similar to "gungame" concepts, where teams progress through 12 levels of weapons to win. Replication mode allows players to vote on an agent to play as, with the entire team using the selected agent for the match. Snowball Fight is a limited-time Team Deathmatch mode available during the Christmas season, featuring snowball launchers and power-up gifts.

Valorant

Valorant, originally announced as Project A in October 2019 by Riot Games, is a unique blend of Overwatch, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and League of Legends. It's a 5v5 multiplayer first-person shooter (FPS) with a main game mode called Search and Destroy, similar to CS:GO's Defuse mode. In this mode, one team attacks by planting a bomb (called a spike), while the other defends.

Matches consist of 25 rounds, and the first team to win 13 rounds wins the match. Each round lasts 100 seconds, during which players can buy weapons and gear. If you die in a round, you respawn in the next one. What sets Valorant apart is the addition of Agents, each with unique abilities ranging from healing allies to creating walls.

These abilities must be purchased at the beginning of each round. Spike Rush is another game mode introduced after the game's launch, offering a quicker, best-of-seven-rounds experience with every attacker equipped with a spike and all players having the same weapon and abilities. Valorant's seasons are called Acts, with each bringing new content like Agents, maps, and modes.
