Given the extent of his injuries and two major surgeries, fans have speculated whether Roode may be retiring from professional wrestling. Throughout his career, Roode shared memorable moments with AJ Styles, having been part of the Angle Alliance and Immortal in TNA. However, it was their time together in the Fortune faction that showcased their close alliance and interactions with the Phenomenal One. As Roode faces another surgical procedure, the wrestling community eagerly awaits updates on his recovery and potential return to the ring.

Vince Russo Opens Up the Star's Career

During a recent appearance on Legion of RAW, Vince Russo expressed his desire to reach out to Robert Roode regarding his wrestling career. Russo mentioned that Roode was undergoing or had already undergone another surgery and felt the need to connect with him. He spoke highly of Roode, describing him as a joy to work with and an exceptional individual.  He stated "I got to give him a call bro, because I guess he's going in for another surgery, or he went in for another surgery or something. I got to touch base with him. What a joy to work with. What an ace of a guy."

Dr. Chris Featherstone, also part of the discussion, brought up the possibility of Roode taking on a role as an NXT coach. Russo enthusiastically agreed, emphasizing that Roode should be involved in some capacity and suggested that a backstage job would be a perfect fit for him. He stated "I was thinking backstage job. He needs to be doing something. I agree a thousand percent."

The comments highlight the respect and admiration Russo and Featherstone have for Roode's talents and their belief that he could make a valuable contribution behind the scenes in NXT.

Booker T Advised AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, and Robert Roode

Booker T shared an interesting encounter with AJ Styles, Robert Roode, and Samoa Joe during their time in TNA. According to Booker T, he advised them to leave the company and find better opportunities elsewhere. When he first joined TNA, he had a conversation with Roode, Joe, and Styles, urging them to stop wasting their time in the company.

He stated "I told all those guys - when I first got to TNA - when I first got there, (Bobby) Roode, (Samoa) Joe, and AJ Styles, they will tell you (about him asking them to leave the company). Get an interview with them, somebody out there in the podcast world and you make sure you ask them that question, if Booker T said to them, 'Hey, man, you guys need to get the hell out of here. Quick.' I said, 'You're wasting your time.' I told Roode, 'Cut that damn mullet and get out of here as soon as your contract is up.'"

Booker T even mentioned that he specifically told Roode to cut his mullet and leave as soon as his contract expired. He encouraged the trio to seek out interviews with them to confirm his advice. Booker T's intention was to guide them towards greener pastures and help them make the most of their talents in a more promising environment.
