The collision resulted in the unfortunate demise of the driver and his assistant, two of the three occupants in the tanker. The aftermath was captured in visuals from the scene, revealing the devastating state of the Rolls-Royce Phantom – a luxury vehicle worth more than ₹10 crore.
The car's front end was severely damaged, the engine caught fire, and its doors were ajar. The condition of the tanker was even more dire, reduced to a heap of twisted metal after being engulfed in flames. Following the crash, Mr. Malu was admitted to a private hospital in Gurugram to receive medical attention for his injuries.
Nuh's Superintendent of Police, Narendra Bijaraniya, revealed that the entire stretch of the expressway is monitored by CCTV cameras. The incident unfolded when the truck executed an unexpected U-turn on the highway, and the Rolls-Royce Phantom was reportedly traveling at an extremely high speed, resulting in the collision.
Authorities have stated that the third occupant of the car will be interviewed as well, pending his discharge from the hospital. The third occupant of the tanker is currently recuperating at his residence in Ujina, Haryana.
Gautam, positioned next to the driver and assistant, recounted that the truck had begun a U-turn when it was struck by the speeding Rolls-Royce. Despite his injuries, he described the Phantom's velocity as at least 190 km/hr, causing the truck to overturn upon impact.
