Wangaratta car accident today
One person has lost their life, while three others have been seriously injured following a single-car accident in Victoria. The incident occurred in the north-eastern part of the state, where the car rolled over at the intersection of Greta Road and Clarkes Lane before coming to a stop in a nearby paddock. The accident took place at around 7:15 pm in Wangaratta.
Sadly, a 26-year-old passenger from Beaconsfield passed away at the scene. Meanwhile, a 24-year-old man from the same area is fighting for his life with life-threatening injuries, and he has been transported to the hospital via an airlift. Additionally, a 16-year-old boy from Wangaratta was also airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the vehicle, a 23-year-old man from Wangaratta, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and is under police guard at a local hospital.
The crash has prompted an investigation by the Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives, who are attempting to determine the cause of the accident. The authorities have not yet disclosed any further details regarding the incident.
