Anthony Bennett Career
Anthony Bennett's basketball career has been marked by various team affiliations and transitions. In the 2013 NBA draft, Bennett was selected as the first overall pick by the Cleveland Cavaliers, making him the first Canadian to achieve this honor in NBA history. He signed a rookie scale contract with the Cavaliers in August 2013.
However, his performance during his rookie season was widely criticized, as he struggled to make an impact on the court. It took him several games to score his first field goal, and he faced scrutiny as one of the perceived worst first overall picks in recent memory.
After his stint with the Cavaliers, Bennett was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves in August 2014.
