Under his leadership, the curriculum devised by this individual placed a disproportionate emphasis on teachings related to "slut-shaming" rather than foundational subjects such as mathematics, as highlighted by Brooke's account. In 2014, after more than five decades of being in power, this individual stepped down amid a series of allegations made against him.
The organization he led, IBLP, asserted that it had conducted an investigation and found no evidence of criminal activity but acknowledged that his behavior had been inappropriate.
