During a concert in Busan, South Korea on October 15, 2022, Jin excitedly shared with the enthusiastic crowd, "I had the opportunity to collaborate with someone I admire, and as a result, a single will be released soon."
This marks the second solo project from a BTS member since the announcement of their hiatus in June 2022. Following the hiatus, J-Hope released his album "Jack In a Box" in July 2022, RM released "Indigo" in December, Suga unveiled "D-Day" in April 2023, and Jimin presented "FACE" in March 2023.

If everything proceeds according to plan, the remaining members of BTS will likely fulfill their military duties in the order of their age: Suga, RM, J-Hope, Jimin, Taehyung, and finally, Jungkook. A report from the South Korean newspaper Aju Business Daily stated that Jin would commence his service on December 13, 2022, as per the original plan.
