What Happened to Duncan Robinson?
Duncan Robinson of the Miami HEAT has undergone successful surgery to repair a ligament in the second finger of his right hand. The procedure, which lasted 35 minutes, was carried out by Dr. Steven Shinn at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. Following the surgery, Robinson will commence rehabilitation next week and will be assessed again in approximately four weeks. Robinson sustained the injury during a shootaround on November 18 while in Washington and has since played in 28 games for the HEAT this season. On December 30, Robinson set Miami's all-time record for three-point field goals made during a game in Denver, surpassing Tim Hardaway's previous record of 806. He also achieved the milestone of hitting his 800th three-point field goal against Minnesota on December 26, making him the quickest player in NBA history to do so.

According to Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald, Duncan Robinson, a forward for the Miami Heat, will be out for a minimum of one month following surgery on his right middle finger. The procedure will take place today in Los Angeles, where the Heat is currently located before their game against the Lakers, which will be nationally televised. Chiang reported that Robinson first injured his finger almost two months ago in Washington and has not fully recovered since then. Although he has been in and out of the lineup, Robinson played in the team's last five games and nine of their last 10. However, he missed a total of 10 games in an 18-game period between November 18 and December 12 due to injury or DNP-CD. Earlier today, Robinson was initially listed as questionable on the team's injury report for Wednesday.
What Surgery does Duncan Robinson have?
Duncan Robinson, the forward for the Miami Heat, returned to the court on Wednesday for the first time in over six weeks after having finger surgery. Despite having some rust, Robinson reported feeling good and better than expected. He also stated that he had been ramping up his activity leading up to the game. Robinson had a modest performance, scoring six points on 2 of 7 shooting and grabbing three rebounds. Although he acknowledged that his finger won't fully heal for some time, he said that the surgery was successful in repairing the injury and that it was enough for him to be effective on the court. Robinson admitted that he still experiences pain, but he knew that this would be the case when he decided to have the procedure. He added that his finger functions better now than it did before the surgery.
