What Is Guardians Of The Galaxy Tiktok Trend?
Disneyland officials have issued a safety warning in response to a dangerous new trend on TikTok that encourages riders on the Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Breakout ride at Disney California Adventure to improperly secure their seatbelts in order to increase airtime. The Orange County Register reported that new warning signs have been posted in the ride's line queue due to multiple incidents of unsafe behavior by guests. Disneyland officials have stated that guests who do not follow the safety rules on the ride will be asked to leave the park. The ride, which was previously known as the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, features weightless moments during drop sequences as guests help the Guardians of the Galaxy crew escape from the Collector character from the movie franchise.
Disneyland Warns Riders To Follow Safety Rules On Guardians Of The Galaxy
Waiting a long time to get on a ride, particularly one inspired by Marvel's popular Guardians of the Galaxy movie franchise, can make you want to make the experience as thrilling as possible. However, compromising your safety for excitement is not acceptable. Some riders on the Guardians of the Galaxy Mission: Breakout ride have reportedly been loosening or unbuckling their seatbelts and posting about it on TikTok, claiming that it allows them to gain extra airtime during the ride's largest drops. TikTok has removed most of these videos due to safety concerns, but there are still worries that this trend could resurface elsewhere. To discourage this behavior, the park has installed additional signage as of February 21st that reads "Keep seat belt securely fastened and tight against the waist. Failure to follow instructions may result in being asked to leave the park." Furthermore, ride operators are taking extra precautions to ensure riders are properly wearing their seatbelts. If they believe a rider is disobeying the rules, the ride will be stopped and security may be called. The Guardians of the Galaxy Mission: Breakout ride was once the Tower of Terror ride until 2017, and there were instances of riders attempting to loosen their seatbelts on that ride as well. However, these riders were caught and the ride was stopped, as shown in the video above.
Disney Adventures Takes Necessary Action
Over the years, TikTok has seen a variety of trends, ranging from fun to absurd. However, the Disneyland Guardians TikTok trend is among the most dangerous. The adventure park has already taken strict measures to prevent people from endangering themselves, but with the upcoming release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, more people are expected to want to experience the Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: Breakout ride. As a result, the latest TikTok trend may gain even more popularity in the coming months. It is crucial for people to adhere to Disneyland's rules and not get carried away, as disregarding the rules could put many lives at risk. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is set to release on May 3, 2023.
