Whatsapp Update: Whatsapp May Soon Let You Edit Sent Messages

WhatsApp frequently introduces new features and bug patches to enhance user privacy and improve the app experience. The most recent software upgrade added several features for iOS, Android, and web users, such as picture-in-picture mode, forwarding media with captions, and messaging oneself. However, the developers are already working on new features for the next software update, including the ability to edit sent messages. According to a report by Wabetainfo, WhatsApp is working on introducing the ability to modify texts in a future version of the program. Users will be able to edit any communication they've already sent within 15 minutes thanks to the new edit message function. This feature will be particularly useful for making a few word changes rather than deleting the entire message. However, this function will only work with the most recent version of WhatsApp and will only let users modify conversations, not picture captions. Currently, the feature is being developed for iOS users and should be available for beta testing shortly. Meanwhile, WhatsApp is also testing a new feature that will allow iOS users to adjust the picture resolution on their devices.

Whatsapp New Features Launching In 2023

WhatsApp continually releases updates to improve user privacy and enhance the app experience. In the latest update, WhatsApp introduced new features such as picture-in-picture mode for iOS, the ability to forward media with captions, and the option to message oneself. However, the instant messaging platform's developers are already working on designing additional features for future updates, such as the ability to edit sent messages.

According to Wabetainfo, a website that tracks WhatsApp's latest developments, WhatsApp is currently working on a feature that allows users to edit messages. The feature will enable users to modify any sent message within 15 minutes of sending it. This will be useful for correcting mistakes or including additional information in the original message. While WhatsApp already allows users to delete sent messages, this feature will be helpful for users who only need to edit a few words.

The edit message feature will only work on the latest version of WhatsApp and will be limited to editing messages, not media captions. Currently, the feature is under development for iOS users and will be available for beta testing soon. Users may receive the feature in a future app update.

In addition to the edit message feature, WhatsApp is also testing a new feature for iOS users that allows users to adjust image quality on iOS devices. The feature is currently under beta testing and will be available to everyone soon. Currently, the update of this feature is only available for iOS beta testers who are part of the Test Flight beta program and carries version 23.4.0.70.

WhatsApp compresses photos to save data, so users need to convert their media into documents to send high-quality photos. However, with the new update, WhatsApp will allow users to send high-quality images on the available internet network. The feature is already available for Android users, and WhatsApp is working on bringing the same feature to Desktop users.

To change photo quality settings, users can go to WhatsApp Settings > Storage and Data > Media Upload Quality and change the photo quality settings according to their preferences.

Creators Of Whatsapp

Former Yahoo! company employees Brian Acton and Jan Koum created the WhatsApp app. The app WhatsApp was not designed for only being a texting service. Days later, Jan had an excellent idea of making the Whatsapp app, which would provide various sources of information to people worldwide listed in your address book purchased in January 2009 for an iPhone. Jan and Brian were excited to enter the business world as a new and young multi-million dollar app industry created by the most popular company Apple App Store. Jan then crafted the idea of adding a status for each person from different places, where you can upload photos and videos with other content of your personal life, "like when you were on a call, or when the battery was low, or you were at the gym." The creator, Jan, chose this app, WhatsApp, to resemble the word "what's up." meaning "what are you doing?". On February 24th, 2009, he incorporated the WhatsApp Inc. platform in California.
