In "The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom," you play as Link, exploring the huge world of Hyrule. You get to wander around on foot, ride horses, or glide with a paraglider. There are new places to explore too, like the sky with floating islands and a massive underground area called the Depths.

In "Tears of the Kingdom," the story unfolds after "Breath of the Wild." Link and Zelda explore a creepy cavern under Hyrule Castle where this bad stuff called gloom is causing trouble. They get attacked, and things go nuts—the Master Sword breaks, Link gets hurt, and the castle floats away. Zelda vanishes with something mysterious, and Link's arm gets replaced on a sky island. With help from Rauru, a spirit, Link checks out the island and then heads back down.
Hyrule's a mess after this event, so Link tries to sort it out. Along the way, he teams up with pals like Sidon, Tulin, Yunobo, and Riju. They explore old temples, become sages, and find special artifacts. But then, fake Zelda shows up, working for the bad guy Ganondorf. Link and his crew defeat her, and Link meets Mineru, an old sage who helps Zelda get a new body.
Through Mineru and some ancient stones, Link learns that Zelda got sent back in time. In the past, there was trouble with Ganondorf, and Zelda and others became sages to stop him. It gets pretty intense, with sacrifices and Zelda turning into a dragon to protect the Master Sword. Back in the present, Link grabs the Master Sword back from the dragon and faces off against Ganondorf. It's a big fight with all his friends helping out, and eventually, they beat Ganondorf. Zelda turns human again, and with some spirit help, everything gets fixed up. Link and Zelda reunite and head back to Hyrule, and later, Mineru and the sages promise to keep an eye on things to protect Hyrule.
