Where To Find Falion In Skyrim?

Falion is a powerful mage and a potential follower in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. He can be found in Morthal, a small town in the hold of Hjaalmarch.

To find Falion, you can follow these steps:

  • Travel to Morthal. You can do this by fast traveling if you have already discovered the town or by taking a carriage from another location.

  • Once you are in Morthal, locate Falion's house. It is called Falion's House and is located on the eastern side of the town.

  • Knock on the door of the house. If Falion is inside, he will answer and you can speak with him.

Note that Falion is also involved in a quest called "Rising at Dawn," which is part of the Dawnguard DLC. If you have started this quest, Falion may not be in Morthal until you complete it.

The bartender in any tavern or inn in Skyrim may give you a rumor about Falion if you ask for rumors or gossip. The rumor will be about Falion studying vampires in Morthal. Morthal is a small town located in the hold of Hjaalmarch, southwest of Ustengrav.

Once you arrive in Morthal, you can locate Falion's House, which is on the eastern side of the town, near the waterfront. You may find Falion outside of his house during the day, but at night he can be found to the northwest of town, near the marshes.

When you speak to Falion, he will tell you that a Black Soul Gem is required to perform the ritual to cure vampirism. He may offer to sell you the gem for around 150 gold, or you can obtain one by other means such as finding one in a dungeon or purchasing it from an Enchanting vendor.

After you obtain the Black Soul Gem, you must fill it with the soul of a humanoid creature such as a bandit, mage, or necromancer. Once it is filled, return to Falion and perform the ritual at the summoning circle at dawn to cure your vampirism.

Note that if you have not yet contracted vampirism, you will not be able to start this quest with Falion. Also, if you have completed the quest "Blood on the Ice," you may need to wait a few days for Falion to return to Morthal before you can start the quest.
