The reception for Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl has been mixed among critics. Where to Find Unown in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond?

Solaceon Ruins is a location in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl where players can encounter Unown, a unique Pokémon species. It is also home to several rare items that can be found in its deepest chamber.

Additionally, there is a young boy near the entrance of the ruins who will reward players with a special Ball Capsule if they return to his house after speaking with him.

The layout of Solaceon Ruins consists of multiple levels, each with a central corridor denoted as Hallway B1F, Hallway B2F, and so on. Adjacent to these corridors are smaller chambers and staircases leading to the next level.

Unown Pokemon Brilliant Diamond Location

Within the small side chambers of Solaceon Ruins in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, some contain hidden items within their central rocks, while others may be empty. These side chambers are also where players have the highest chance of encountering different forms of the Pokémon Unown. Unown can appear in up to 27 forms, representing each letter of the alphabet from A to Z, as well as special symbols like "?" and "!".

In the hallways of the ruins, specific forms of Unown spawn in each corridor. The order of these forms is F, R, I, E, N, and D, with the "D" form appearing in the deepest chamber that is not a hallway.

To fully explore Solaceon Ruins, players should progress through each hallway, capturing the exclusive Unown form found in each one. By reaching the deepest chamber, players can catch the "D" form of Unown and discover four rare items. They will also encounter a heartwarming message about friendship on the wall.

The back wall on the entrance level provides helpful directions for navigating the chambers. By following the directions of "Top right, Lower left, Top right, Top left, Top left, Lower left," players can explore each chamber, defeat the trainer present, and collect all available items in a single run. To exit, players can conveniently use an Escape Rope found along the way or retrace their steps using the reverse order of the given instructions.

As for the "?" and "!" forms of Unown, players can unlock them in a special chamber within the Ruin Maniac's Cave on Route 214. This cave expands as players progressively catch more forms of Unown. Once players have captured all the different forms from A to Z, they can speak to the Ruin Maniac to access the expanded tunnel, leading to the final encounters with the "?" and "!" forms of Unown.

How to Catch Unown in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl?

In Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, players can easily catch six specific forms of Unown, which represent the letters F, R, I, E, N, and D. These forms are located in the large rooms within the Solaceon Ruins. However, the remaining 18 letters of Unown can only be found at dead ends within the ruins.

Players will need to explore each dead end until they encounter an Unown. To increase the chances of capturing each Unown, it is recommended to use Repeat Balls.

After capturing all 26 Unown in the Solaceon Ruins, players should proceed to Route 214, situated south of Veilstone City. On the western side of the route, there is the Ruin Maniac's Cave. The Maniac is excavating through the rock, but will only finish once players have caught all 26 basic Unown forms.

Once this condition is met, a hidden chamber within the Solaceon Ruins will be revealed. Inside this chamber, players can encounter the final two forms of Unown: the exclamation point and the question mark.
