Something Borrowed Plot

In the movie "Something Borrowed," Rachel and Darcy are close friends with a complicated history. Rachel has always had feelings for Dex, who is now engaged to Darcy. At a birthday party, Darcy gets drunk, and Dex takes her home but returns for her purse, which Rachel offers to help find. This leads to a night together, and Rachel's long-buried feelings for Dex resurface. The story flashes back to their law school days, when Rachel and Dex grew closer but never pursued a relationship due to Darcy's presence.

As the wedding between Dex and Darcy approaches, Rachel and Dex's relationship becomes strained. Rachel starts dating other men, and Darcy reveals she once cheated on Dex. Tensions rise as they try to keep their affair secret. Eventually, Dex's father advises him to go through with the wedding, leading to more distance between him and Rachel. However, just before the wedding, Rachel decides to confront Dex, but he can't call off the wedding.

Rachel's friend Ethan, who knows the truth, moves away. On the wedding day, Darcy's pregnancy secret is revealed, leading to a heated confrontation, and Rachel and Dex decide to be together. The movie ends with Darcy accepting their relationship, and Rachel and Dex walking together hand in hand.
