Jrue Randall Holiday (born June 12, 1990) is an American professional basketball player for the Boston Celtics in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Born in Chatsworth, California, Holiday's basketball journey began at a young age. He followed in the footsteps of his older brothers, Justin and Aaron, who also became professional basketball players.

 He attended Campbell Hall High School in North Hollywood, California, where he established himself as a top recruit, ultimately committing to play college basketball for the UCLA Bruins.

Drafted 17th overall by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2009 NBA draft, Holiday spent the first four seasons of his career with the team. He played alongside talented players like Andre Iguodala and Evan Turner, but the 76ers struggled to find sustained success during his tenure.

In 2013, Holiday was traded to the New Orleans Pelicans (then known as the New Orleans Hornets) as part of a three-team deal. He blossomed in New Orleans, becoming the team's starting point guard and emerging as a force on both ends of the court. 

In November 2020, Holiday was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks in a blockbuster deal that sent multiple players and draft picks to the Pelicans.
