Notably, during his time in Ottawa, he attended elementary school alongside Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, forming a connection through their shared educational experiences. His mother, Suzanne Morrison, served as a journalist and press secretary to Justin's father, Pierre Trudeau.

Following his parents' separation when he was one year old, Perry's mother remarried Canadian broadcast journalist Keith Morrison, prompting a move to Ottawa.
