Who Dies in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3?
In the Marvel movie, "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3," surprisingly, none of the main characters, including the chief villain, the High Evolutionary, die by the end of the movie.
This is a major twist that goes against the typical expectations of most Marvel fans. However, it should be noted that some characters do meet their demise throughout the film, such as Ayesha, who dies halfway through the movie, leaving Adam Warlock to fend for himself.
Additionally, there is another character who is completely incinerated by Adam, resulting in their death. Rocket's companions, including Lylla the Otter, Teefs the Walrus, and Floor the Rabbit, also unfortunately perish.
While these characters are undoubtedly beloved and their deaths are impactful, they are not considered main characters. Therefore, Ayesha is the closest character that the movie comes to killing off one of its primary characters.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 Plot
The Guardians of the Galaxy are attacked by a warrior named Adam Warlock at their new headquarters on Knowhere. Adam was created by Ayesha, a high priestess of the Sovereigns. He overpowers the Guardians and seriously injures Rocket, prompting them to search for the override code to a kill switch implanted in Rocket's body by Orgocorp.
While Rocket is unconscious, he remembers his past as a baby raccoon who was experimented on by the High Evolutionary. Rocket befriended other test subjects, including Lylla, Teefs, and Floor. However, the High Evolutionary eventually ordered Rocket's brain to be extracted and his friends to be killed. Rocket fought back, but was left alone after the chaos.
The Guardians travel to Orgocorp's headquarters and retrieve Rocket's file, but find that the override code is missing. They suspect Theel, one of the High Evolutionary's advisors, has it and head to Counter-Earth to retrieve it.
Ayesha and Adam follow them, under orders from the High Evolutionary to retrieve Rocket. The Guardians are aided by the residents of Counter-Earth in tracking down Theel but are separated during the mission. Quill, Groot, and Nebula head to the High Evolutionary's ship, while Drax and Mantis stay with Gamora and Rocket.
The High Evolutionary destroys and recreates Counter-Earth, killing all life on the planet, including Ayesha. Quill and Groot retrieve the code from Theel before the ship enters orbit.
As they attempt to disable the kill switch, Rocket has a near-death experience and is visited by his deceased friends. Quill saves Rocket's life with the code. Nebula, Mantis, and Drax discover imprisoned children on the High Evolutionary's ship before being captured themselves.
The Guardians work together to free the children, and the animals, and defeat the High Evolutionary. Quill leaves the Guardians to reunite with his grandfather, while Rocket becomes the new captain. The rest of the team embarks on a new mission together.
In the mid-credits scene, the new Guardians, consisting of Rocket, a grown-up Groot, Cosmo, Kraglin, Adam, Phyla, and Adam's pet Blurp, take on a new mission. In the post-credits scene, Quill has breakfast with Jason.
