They filmed most of it in Vancouver, Canada.The main character, Oliver Queen, is a rich guy who said he was stranded on a weird island for five years.

When he came back, he decided to fight crime secretly using a bow and arrow. He got some help from his friends like John Diggle, Felicity Smoak, Sara Lance, Roy Harper, his sister Thea, and Laurel Lance. In the first five seasons, they also showed what happened to Oliver in the past. In season seven, they started looking at Oliver's kids, William and Mia, and what would happen in the future because of what he did as Green Arrow.

Arrow Plot 

After a terrible shipwreck, rich guy Oliver Queen was thought to be dead for five years. But then, they found him on a faraway island in the Pacific Ocean. When he got back to his home in Starling City, his mom Moira, his beloved sister Thea, and his best friend Tommy were happy to see him again. But they could tell that Oliver had changed during his time on the island. 

Even though Oliver kept his island experiences a secret, he really wanted to make up for the bad things he did when he was younger. His biggest wish was to make things right with his old girlfriend, Laurel Lance. So, secretly, he became Arrow, a hero who wanted to fix the city, fight crime, and make Starling City better. 

During the day, Oliver acted like the rich and careless guy he used to be, with his loyal chauffeur and bodyguard, John Diggle. But at night, he became Arrow, hiding his true identity. But Detective Quentin Lance, who is Laurel's dad, was determined to catch this mysterious hero. And Oliver's own mom, Moira, had some big secrets about that shipwreck that Oliver couldn't even imagine.
