What Happened to Azwindini in Muvhango?

After portraying the iconic role of Chief Azwindini Mukwevho for 23 years, TV actor Gabriel Temudzani has bid farewell to his character on Muvhango. In his departure, Temudzani revealed several layers about himself and beliefs that sometimes clashed with his character.

The actor's final appearance was in Monday night's episode, where viewers watched as Azwindini's cousin Tenda fatally shot him. The untimely death of the chief has left the Mukwevho clan in shock and mourning, bringing with it a wave of family drama expected to lead to chaos in the royal house.

Tenda's kidnapping of Susan, portrayed by Maumela Mahuwa, was the first domino in a chain reaction that ultimately led to the chief's death. After tampering with evidence to frame Azwindini for Susan's disappearance, Tenda planned for Azwindini to be arrested.

However, the police were taken aback when DNA evidence established his innocence and no warrant had been issued for his arrest. This allowed Tenda to bring the chief into his presence before his ex-wife and the mother of his children, where he ruthlessly executed him.
