Why is Holly Willoughby Leaving This Morning?

During the last episode of the week for the ITV daytime program This Morning, Holly Willoughby reportedly left the set after Phillip Schofield made a move live on air. Fans are saying that she broke an important rule in television. The presenters were teasing the upcoming interview with actors Rupert Grint and Ben Aldridge, who were on the show to discuss their new thriller film, Knock At The Cabin.

During their last show of the week on This Morning, Phillip Schofield played a prank on his co-host Holly Willoughby. While introducing actors Rupert Grint and Ben Aldridge for an interview about their new thriller, Knock At The Cabin, Phillip interrupted his sentence by making a noise in Holly's face, causing her to jump back.

The crew laughed, and Phillip commented that he hadn't done that in a while. Holly walked off the set after exclaiming, "Oh, I'll go away then," and saying goodbye to the camera. Phillip laughed and told her to get a cushion before they aired the interview footage for those who are easily frightened.

"What would you do if you had to make a decision that would affect life as we know it across the world?" the presenter asked as he looked down the camera. Holly, 41, then continued: "Well, that's the premise of the new film 'Knock at the Cabin' which asks one family to make an impossible choice."

Is Holly Willoughby ill?

Holly Willoughby has informed her fans that she will not be returning to This Morning as scheduled on April 17th. The presenter was expected to make a comeback to the ITV1 daytime program alongside co-host Phillip Schofield after the Easter break. However, in an Instagram post, Holly announced that she is suffering from shingles and will be taking time off to recover.

The 42-year-old will be replaced by Rochelle Humes while she is away. This Morning made the announcement on its social media accounts, wishing Holly a speedy recovery and welcoming Phillip back from the Easter break. Holly is currently on sick leave. In a health update shared with her 8.2 million Instagram followers over the weekend, the mother-of-three informed them that she may not be available for the rest of the week due to her battle with shingles.

"It's also the return of the biggest competition in Daytime 12 at 12, where one viewer could walk away with £12k in tax free cash. And the question of the day, does the Boots miracle skin cream actually work? We've got all that and more, from 10am on #ThisMorning."

Where is Holly Willoughby This Morning?

Due to her having shingles, Holly Willoughby has taken some time off from presenting This Morning. The infection, which is caused by the same virus as chickenpox, results in a painful rash and can make patients feel generally unwell and headachy. During Willoughby's absence, This Morning has been hosted by Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary.

On Monday, it was announced that Rochelle Humes would be stepping in alongside Phillip Schofield to present the show. Willoughby has become a well-known television presenter in the UK, having hosted several popular shows, including "This Morning," "Dancing on Ice," and "Celebrity Juice." She has also authored a successful series of children's books and is known for her fashion sense.

Who is Holly Willoughby?

Holly Marie Willoughby, born on February 10, 1981, is a well-known English television presenter, model, and author. She has been co-hosting ITV's This Morning with Phillip Schofield since 2009 and also co-hosts Dancing on Ice with him (with breaks in between) since 2006. Willoughby was a team captain on the ITV2 comedy panel show Celebrity Juice from 2008 to 2020.

Also appeared in several other TV shows such as The Xtra Factor, Text Santa, The Voice UK, Surprise Surprise, Play to the Whistle, I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!, Freeze the Fear with Wim Hof, and The Games.

Holly Willoughby was born in the town of Brighton, East Sussex, and she is the second daughter of Linda Willoughby (formerly Fleming), a former air stewardess, and Brian Willoughby, who works as a sales manager for a double-glazing company. She attended the independent Burgess Hill Girls school in Burgess Hill, West Sussex, and later went to The College of Richard Collyer in Horsham for her education.

Holly Willoughby Net Worth

Holly Willoughby has an estimated net worth of £10 million, which is hardly surprising given her numerous television gigs and her interior design business venture with Dragon's Den's Peter Jones. As a co-host of This Morning, she reportedly earns £400,000 annually, not including her earnings from Celebrity Juice and Dancing On Ice.

Willoughby got her start in television by winning an audition for the CITV show S Club TV in 2000, where she played an alternative version of S Club 7. She also appeared in the show S Club 7: Artistic Differences as the character Zoe alongside the band members. Prior to her television career, Willoughby worked as a receptionist and later as a runner for Auction World TV, a now-defunct shopping channel.

Holly Willoughby Husband

Holly Willoughby has been married to Daniel Baldwin since August 2007. The couple first met while working on the ITV show Ministry of Mayhem, where Holly was a co-host and Daniel was a producer. They have three children together: Harry, born in 2009, Belle, born in 2011, and Chester, born in 2014. Willoughby has publicly shared that she is dyslexic and her sister Kelly is also in the television industry. In 2008, she became a patron of the charity Together for Short Lives.

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield received backlash on 17 September 2022 for not queuing up with the public at the lying in state of Queen Elizabeth II in Westminster Hall during the filming of This Morning. Some social media users criticized them for not following the lead of other celebrities such as David Beckham and Susanna Reid, who had queued for hours with the public.
