Aquaman
Aquaman is a movie about a superhero named Arthur Curry, also known as Aquaman. He's played by Jason Momoa. The story follows Arthur as he tries to become the leader of the underwater kingdom of Atlantis. His half-brother, King Orm, wants to unite all the underwater kingdoms to destroy the world above the water. The movie also stars Amber Heard, Willem Dafoe, Patrick Wilson, Dolph Lundgren, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Nicole Kidman in different roles.
The idea for this movie started way back in 2004, but it didn't really get going until 2013 when "Man of Steel" came out. Writers were hired in 2014 to work on scripts for the movie. James Wan became the director in 2015, and the movie started moving forward with a script written by Will Beall. The main actors were confirmed between 2016 and early 2017. They filmed in Australia, Canada, Italy, and Morocco, starting in May 2017 and finishing in October that same year. Aquaman Plot
The story begins in Maine in 1985, where a lighthouse keeper named Thomas rescues Atlanna, the queen of Atlantis, during a storm. They fall in love and have a son named Arthur, who has the ability to communicate with sea creatures. However, Atlanna must leave to protect her family from her people, promising to return.
In the present day, Arthur has grown up with incredible abilities and is known as Aquaman. He rejects Atlantis upon learning of his mother's fate. Meanwhile, his half-brother Orm becomes the new ruler of Atlantis and plans to unite the underwater kingdoms to wage war on the surface world.
Mera, a princess from another kingdom, seeks Arthur's help to stop Orm's plan. Together, they embark on a journey to find a powerful artifact called the Trident of Atlan, which will help Arthur claim his rightful place as king. Along the way, they face many challenges, including battles with Orm's forces and encounters with dangerous creatures.
Ultimately, Arthur retrieves the trident and faces off against Orm in a big battle. With the help of sea creatures and the Trident's power, Arthur defeats Orm but spares his life. He becomes the true king of Atlantis, reuniting with his mother and taking his place on the throne. In a scene after the main story, a character named Black Manta, seeking revenge on Aquaman, teams up with a scientist obsessed with Atlantis. That's a simpler version of the main events in the movie Aquaman.
