Phase 1

• When you step into Zhang Liang's arena in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, brace yourself for a challenging boss fight. Zhang Liang, General of Man, wastes no time in unleashing his flurry of attacks upon you. While the game provides a brief tutorial earlier on, this fight requires more advanced combat skills, making it a sink-or-swim moment for many players.

• One of his new attacks is an Earth-based magical attack where he swings his club around and plants it vertically into the ground in front of him. A moment later, a line of rock will explode along the ground toward you. It's possible to deflect it, but guarding with LB is a safer option. He also adds a charging attack that may or may not be a Critical Blow, and a rushing flurry of Critical Blows attack, which is a lot to handle.
• When you finally get Zhang Liang's health down to about half (or a little below), the Blindfolded Boy will call out to "unleash the power residing in the jade!" This means it's time to Summon the Divine Beast. You'll see its icon fill up on the right side of the screen, and you'll get a helpful tooltip on the left side. All that's left to do is hit Y+B/triangle+circle and bask in your victory.

Practice, Practice, Practice

At any Battle Flag, you have the option to Travel after you Rest. While later in the game, this allows you to replay levels or take on side quests, currently it provides an opportunity to undergo additional training. To access this training, select Travel and use RB to navigate to Other. Look for the Tutorial: Basic Training card and select it. Although you've already completed the tutorial, this session will be more comprehensive and in-depth. It's crucial to pay attention to the Deflect section, so don't skip it. You should complete the training at least twice, and then do it again for reinforcement.

Level Up

During the tutorial, it's possible to acquire enough Genuine Qi to level up a few times. Don't forget to use any Genuine Qi Flakes or Fragments from your inventory. We suggest increasing one level each in Water, which decreases Spirit consumption when Deflecting, and Fire, which increases Spirit drain from Martial Arts and Spirit gain from attacking. These upgrades will also increase your health and Attack Bonuses with the default Ring Pommel Saber. However, feel free to allocate your points into any Five Points Virtues you desire to shape your character. Successfully deflecting an attack or landing regular melee attacks restores Spirit. Both the player's character and enemies, including Zhang Liang, have Spirit Gauges that decrease when Spirit is spent. If a Spirit Gauge reaches its lower limit, the person or demon will be stunned for a few seconds, leaving them vulnerable to a Fatal Blow. The player's goal is to prevent this from happening and make sure it happens to the enemy. Certain attacks like Martial Arts, Wizardry Spells, Spirit Attacks (with Y/triangle), or deflections also shrink the enemy's Spirit gauge, making it easier to drain their Spirit. Ignore Your Companion

During the battle, the Blindfolded Boy will offer some guidance and motivation, but don't pay too much attention to him since he doesn't contribute much to the fight.
